Aurora nails are a manicure with iridescent reflections that change colour with the light, like a miniature aurora borealis. It's one of the most viral trends of 2026: it mixes futurism and elegance, and looks spectacular on almond shape of medium length.
The effect is achieved by applying aurora powder over the semi-permanent colour base. The result changes depending on the chosen base: over black or dark blue the reflection is very intense magenta-green-blue; over pale pink or milky tones it becomes softer, with greenish and golden tones. Over nude you get the cleanest "soap bubble" effect.

Aurora vs chrome vs glazed: what's the difference?
All three use effect powders, but the result is very different. Chrome is metallic mirror (silver, gold). Glazed is subtle whitish pearl. Aurora is iridescent: it changes colour by angle.
